AUSTRALIA - BUSINESS INNOVATION AND INVESTMENT PROGRAM OPENS FOR 2022-23
The South Australia’s Business Innovation and Investment Program (BIIP) is now open for the 2022-23 program year. The Australian Business Migration program pursues to interest high quality business owners, investors and entrepreneurs who can create real and supportable business opportunities in South Australia, which includes regions that benefit the State’s economy of Australia and local businesses and the workforce.
The Government of South Australia’s business migration program seeks to attract high excellence business owners, investors and entrepreneurs who can create honest and sustainable business opportunities in South Australia, including in the regions, that benefit the State’s economy, local industries and the workforce.
The South Australian Government’s main objectives for the business migration program are to:
- Attract high quality investment into the South Australian economy.
- Increase employment in South Australia.
- Drive innovation to make South Australia more productive and competitive.
There will be four visa streams available for nominating under this program for the year 2022-23 under the Business Innovation and Investment visa through subclass 188, which are as follows:
- BUSINESS INNOVATION STREAM (188A)
- INVESTOR STREAM (188B)
- SIGNIFICANT INVESTOR STREAM (188C)
- ENTREPRENEUR STREAM (188E)
The Business Innovation program will be highly selective due to the limited short-term allocation of 70 nomination places for South Australia has received from the Commonwealth Government Department of Home Affairs. Therefore, prospective applicants for the Business Innovation Stream under 188A will be mandatory to submit an Intention to Apply (ITA) for consideration for their application to be selected.
Prospective applicants are requested to look at South Australia’s Business Innovation and Investment Program (BIIP) nomination requirements for the 2022-23 program year to see if prospective applicants will meet the requirements are eligible for state nomination.
