SOUTH AUSTRALIA - Removal of Occupations from List

Immigration SA would like to advise you that the following occupations will be removed from the current Interim Occupations List or will not be included in the State Sponsored Migration List (SSML). Unfortunately, Immigration South Australia are unable to provide an indicative date when the SSML and the State Migration Plan will be implemented.
Immigration South Australia are unable to provide prior warning of removal of certain occupations. This practice is also no different from the past where occupations have been removed from the list when the planning levels have been reached. We can only encourage applicants to submit their applications and send all necessary documents as soon as possible to give a higher percentage of being accepted before the planning level is achieved. Once the planning level has been reached, sponsorships will not be granted for that occupation even if the application has been submitted online and documents received. The occupations that are removed are as follows:
* Civil Engineer
* Software Engineer
* Developer Programmer
* ICT Business Analyst
* Systems Analyst
* Production or Plant Engineer.
Alternatively, some of these occupations may be considered under Off List criteria. Details will be published when the SSML is implemented and will keep prospective clients informed.
