PROVINCE ONTARIO ADDS TEN SKILLED OCCUPATIONS FOR SELECTION

Ontario is always one of the looked upon Province in Canada for new immigrants to make Ontario their home. Under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) recently 486 applications were invited through Express Entry to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence on recent draw.

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) issued invitations, also known as Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to eligible immigration applicants.

Applicants who qualified for Ontario’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities (HCP) Stream needed a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score between 467 and 471. Also, total of 10 different National Occupation Classifications (NOCs) were targeted in the latest new draw for applicants to be selected.

The applicants after getting their Notification of Interest (NOI), will be provided 45 days to submit their supporting documents to have their Province Nomination approved.  

Applicants do not need a job offer to be invited under the Ontario Province Selection process. However, the selected applicants need to have work experience in the following occupations:

The occupations that were taken into consideration for the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) issued invitations which were as follows: 

•    Financial managers, NOC 0111
•    Other administrative services managers, NOC 0114
•    Advertising, marketing and public relations managers, NOC 0124
•    Corporate sales managers, NOC 0601
•    Retail and wholesale trade managers, NOC 0621
•    Managers in customer and personal services, n.e.c., NOC 0651
•    Financial auditors and accountants, NOC 1111
•    Other financial officers, NOC 1114
•    Professional occupations in business management consulting, NOC 1122
•    Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses, NOC 3012

“Through this process, the Immigration department o make it easier for established businesses in Canada to employee  talented demanded occupation to be selected  from around the world” the OINP webpage stated.

The OINP engaged with shareholders across the province through a survey and face-to-face discussions and this aided the provinces to choose demand occupations to be selected from the draw.  

The applicants  who were invited from  this draw receive a provincial nomination from Ontario and the applicants will be awarded an additional 600 points towards their overall CRS score, making it effectively and assure  the eligible applicants an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence in a following Express Entry draw.

In order to be considered for a provincial nomination through the HCP stream, the first step is to submit a profile in the Express Entry pool to file with all required supporting documents such as a good language test results IELTS score, having the qualification assessed through Educational Credential assessment body (ECA) for the applicant and spouse.  The applicant should also have the pass mark under the Federal Skilled Migration Program to lodge an Expression of Interest (EOI) application.

Applicants can forward their resume to assess their eligibility under Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program and Canadian Experience Class or Provincial Nominee Program and be successful in obtaining a family Immigration visa.
