PERMANENT RESIDENCE TO QUEBEC UNDER INVESTMENT PROGRAM (QIIP)
An applicant under the immigrant investor, can apply for family Canadian Immigration Permanent Residence Visas by investing $800,000 for a minimum of five years under the Federal Program. This is for applicants intending to reside anywhere in Canada, except for Quebec. Presently, the Federal Immigrant Investor Program is permanently closed.
Presently, some of the Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) still have investor categories available for family applications to qualify.
Under the investment program, Quebec immigrant investor program (QIIP) has increased the investment and net worth requirements for the first time in nearly 8 years. Interested applicants can apply before 31st March 2019.
The new program requires an applicant to invest requirement of $1.2 million, up from $800,000. This revised immigrant investor program QIIP features increased investment and net worth requirements for the first time in nearly 8 years and the qualifying net worth amount increases to $2 million, up from $1.6 million.
The new requirements under the Quebec Immigrant Investor Program are as follows:
- Legally developed personal net worth of $2 million that can be shown by the applicant or spouse;
- Two years of appropriate management or business experience within the five years earlier experience for the application;
- Investment of $1.2 million into a passive government guaranteed investment for a period of five years bearing no interest;
- Intend to settle in the province of Quebec.
The Quebec Investment program for 2018 / 2019 will take 1900 new applications during the period and will end by 31st March 2019. Therefore, it is a good time for applicant who don’t qualify under Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSW) to look at Quebec Immigrant Investor Program.
The Quebec’s Economic Immigration Targets for 2018 as follows:

• The present processing time is 12 months from the date of lodgment.
• The Quebec Govt. investment program expects the applicants to live anywhere in Quebec for which the applicant must show proof while at the interview and the same time can still anywhere in Canada once he has his visa approved technically.
• Should apply before 31st March 2019 with all documents as we have an approval for the Quebec Investment program.
• Agreement to invest the sum of CAD $1,200,000 through an approved financial intermediary (this investment can be financed . the financed amount is CAD 350,000).
