TOP COUNTRIES TO IMMIGRATE - USA, CANADA, AUSTRALIA AND UK

The research shows that USA, CANADA, AUSTRALIA and UK are the most popular destinations for people come from different part of the work as immigrants.

USA:  The United States of America remains first choice for almost 40 percent of highly skilled foreign workers.  The World Bank research states that the US is the world leader for attracting top level, highly skilled foreign workers, with an estimated 40 percent of people moving to the US, followed by Canada, Australia and UK account for a additional 35 percent between each of these countries. It is also said nearly 75 percent of highly skilled immigrants currently call one of these nations as their home.

CANADA:  As per the new study available by the World Bank - Canada has been listed as one of the top four immigration destination countries in the world that steadily attracts top level applicants who are highly skilled immigrants.  The Canadian Immigration Plan for the year 2017 targets new immigrants which is increased by 23 percent and  the Target number of newcomers through Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Experience Class increases by 23 percent.  Canadian Government aims for 51,000 new immigrants to come through the Provincial Nominee Programs for the year 2017.

Canada's success is largely due to the contributions made by the new immigrants. Every year, thousands of new immigrants come in search of a better life for them seek Canada Immigration as a means to achieve their goals and dream to live in a new country.  The United Nations consistently ranking Canada as one of the best places to live in the World.

The study defines this as good news for Canada since the mainstream of highly skilled foreign workers tend to arrive with an current source of wealth, while their skills help to increase and develop the economy, irrespective of where they end up to live in.

AUSTRALIA:  Australia is another popular destination favouring applicants with high skills and are having a desire to start a new life in Australia.  The Australian economy is strong and is actively encouraging the skilled young people to lodge immigration application. The educational amenities and the health services presented by Australia to its people are very good.

Australia is certified by The World Health Organization (WHO) for having a very low crime rate, as compared to most other nations.  Australia is politically stable and is one of the world’s beautiful destinations for good quality of life.

UK:  United Kingdom has become an important destination lately for many immigrants and students moving to UK.  UK Immigration has introduced a number of new UK immigration categories in the last few years. The Highly Skilled Migrant Programme (HSMP) to find an eligibility to process works on points based.  The latest statistics show that in the year ending June 2016, net migration to the UK was 335,000.

More British citizens leave the country than arrive. The European Union (EU)  net migration is currently 189,000 compared to 196,000 from outside the European Union (EU).  A points-based system is composed of five tiers was first described by the UK Border Agency as follows:

•    Tier 1 – for highly skilled individuals, who can contribute to growth and productivity
•    Tier 2 – for skilled workers with a job offer, to fill gaps in the United Kingdom workforce
•    Tier 3 – for limited numbers of low-skilled workers needed to fill temporary labour shortages
•    Tier 4 – for students to come into the country
•    Tier 5 – for temporary workers and young people covered by the Youth Mobility Scheme, allowed to work in the United Kingdom for a limited time to satisfy primarily non-economic objectives

RISE IN HIGHLY SKILLED IMMIGRATION OF WOMEN: The research states that there is an increase in the number of skilled women travelling to take up new assignments around the world. In 2010, more highly skilled female migrants ventured overseas than men. The report speaks that this is the first time this has ever happened to see Women taking over Men on new assignments.

The research adds that the high-skilled members of the future generation appear to be less tied to any particular location or national identity.  They have attitude and network that are worldwide in nature than those of their forerunners.

Other Countries are contending with Australia, Canada, the UK and the US in trying to attract highly skilled foreign workers. Countries like France, Germany and Spain are making their efforts bigger to attract top high skilled workers, but still these countries have, so far could experience little success in attracting highly skilled immigrants.

According to the research’s writers, the top four nations remain to have the control on the majority of the world’s skilled migrants. In Silicon Valley, USA – nicknamed the home of global tech start-ups - three-quarters of software engineers are foreign-born. In Western Australia, more than 50 percent of doctors arrived from overseas and settled down as immigrants.

The scientists do not expect this outline to change, saying that competition for skills migrants will continue to remain to be more in number.

The  report shows that, despite a recent point in the number of people leaving certain parts of the world as refugees, there’s a clear pattern of people moving primarily who have good education and above-average income levels who are moving willingly to settle in for better life being the main reason.
